The current position
Product and merchant links on Gear After Hours are currently ordinary links without publisher affiliate tracking identifiers. Commission arrangements generally do not add a separate publisher fee to a reader’s order, but the final price, shipping, tax, and promotion eligibility remain the merchant’s responsibility. We do not promise that following any link gives you the lowest available price. Compare the complete offer and the seller’s return terms before purchasing.
How a commercial relationship should appear
Before introducing commission-earning links, affected articles will carry a clear notice near their commercial recommendations explaining that we may earn a commission from qualifying purchases. Affected links will also be identified. A disclosure should be readable before the reader acts; this policy page alone is not a substitute for a relevant article-level notice.

How we make recommendations
Our editorial aim is to help you choose gear for your actual routine. We consider documented features, compatibility, useful limitations, and reasons a product might be unsuitable. Commercial relationships do not determine our editorial conclusions. Recommendations can include keeping an existing device, buying a simpler accessory, or choosing an alternative outside a commercial arrangement.
